STILLWATER, Okla.—The Oklahoma State University’s Center for Veterinary Health Sciences is proud to announce this year’s Distinguished Alumni Award recipients. As the Veterinary Center celebrates its 60th Anniversary, the traditions that began in 1948 when it opened the doors to the veterinary college continue today. The accomplishments of its alumni signify the successful growth the program has sustained through the years.

STILLWATER, Okla.—The horses at the Oklahoma State University Center for Veterinary Health Sciences work hard at staying fit. According to Dr. Sabrina Cummings (class of 2008), the horses participating in a research study to determine the effects on airway passages of exercising in cold temperatures work out on a treadmill.

STILLWATER, Okla.—Janine Veronneau of Edmond, Okla., is a member of the class of 2011 at Oklahoma State University’s (OSU) Center for Veterinary Health Sciences. The daughter of Drs. Stephen and Bettina Veronneau, both of Edmond, Veronneau was one of 13 U.S. students who spent their summer studying veterinary medicine and public health in Africa.

STILLWATER, Okla.—Back by popular demand, the Oklahoma State University Center for Veterinary Health Sciences kicks off a series of Pet Care Seminars on Tuesday, Sept. 2, at 7 p.m. in McElroy Hall. Dr. Paul DeMars, Small Animal Community Practice, will share information on pet anxiety and phobias.
